Prof Dr Kian Ming Ong

Former Deputy Minister of MITI, Malaysia and MIDA Board

Dr Ong Kian Ming was the former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), Malaysia and a former two term Member of Parliament. He is currently a board member of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and was formerly Pro Vice Chancellor of External Engagement at Taylor’s University. He was a former consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He holds a PhD in Political Science from Duke University, a Masters in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelors in Economics from the London School of Economics.
