Dr. Wutthinan Jeamsaksiri

Principal Researcher, Thai Microelectronics Center, TMEC

Dr. Wutthinan Jeamsaksiri is a distinguished semiconductor researcher and technology leader with over two decades of experience in microelectronics design, fabrication, and industry development. He currently serves as a Principal Researcher at the Thai Microelectronics Center (TMEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) where he has been instrumental in advancing Thailand’s semiconductor capabilities. Dr. Jeamsaksiri earned his PhD in Semiconductor Device Design and Fabrication from Imperial College London (1997-2000), following his M.Eng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same prestigious institution (1992-1996). His academic foundation from one of the world’s leading engineering schools has been the cornerstone of his innovative research approach. His professional journey includes significant international experience, having worked as a Senior Researcher at IMEC International in Leuven, Belgium (2001-2004), where he focused on design and process integration of 90nm and 65nm CMOS for microwave performance under the European framework project “IMPACT”. He then to returned to Thailand and steered the work at TMEC towards MEMS, Sensors, photonics RD, prototyping, and production. From 2018 to 2023, Dr. Jeamsaksiri served as Director of TMEC, leading strategic initiatives to develop Thailand’s microelectronics industry ecosystem. Under his leadership, the center expanded its research capabilities and strengthened partnerships with both academic institutions and industry players. Currently, he continues his research work while serving on the Semiconductor and High Value Electronics Board Committee (headed by the secretary of Board Of Investment-BOI Thailand), contributing tonational industry development strategies and a technical advisory committee of Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA). He actively contributes to higher education initiatives and investment policy development for Thailand’s semiconductor and high-value electronics sectors. With his technical expertise in semiconductors, international experience, and leadership background, Dr. Jeamsaksiri is well-positioned to collaborate on technology development and support Thailand’s progress in AI-Sensor integration.
